Introducing Everywhere – The Latest Innovation in Premium, Reusable Bottles and Tumblers

Designed with people and planet in mind while adhering to Certified B Corp and Climate Neutral guidelines, the MiiR Everywhere Line is crafted with Tritan Renew, utilizing 50% recycled material without sacrificing performance.

A long time has passed since MiiR first entered the reusable drinkware scene in 2010 with premium stainless steel water bottles. The 2009 SIGG BPA scandal was still fresh in minds, single-use bottled water was the standard, and the reusable bottles on the market were utilitarian and lacking style and ease of use. 

But drinkware technology, commerce, and environmental awareness has evolved. And so has MiiR.

To even consider designing and manufacturing a reusable plastic vessel at MiiR the conditions had to be right. And most importantly, the product had to fit into our core design values:

And over the past few years, the conditions for a premium drinkware vessel made from recycled plastic were finally right.

MiiR's focus on responsible design feeds into our product development process, so the end product had to aesthetically please beyond the competition and, more difficult to pull off, couldn't be made of just any plastic.

It wasn't until our team discovered a durable, high quality 50% recycled plastic material called Tritan Renew that the possibility presented itself as an opportunity (Nalgene, YETI and Camelbak all sell products made with Tritan Renew).

What is Tritan Renew? 

MiiR’s Everywhere Line and use of Tritan Renew is a strategic response to the evolving consumer landscape that favors sustainability, health-consciousness, and personalized design. 

Made through a unique process that breaks down plastic waste back into its basic chemical building blocks — allowing plastic materials to be recycled again and again — Tritan Renew provides us with a material that boasts up to 50% certified recycled content.

But still, MiiR is known for stainless steel bottles and tumblers, so it begs the question ... 

Why plastic drinkware?

Let’s face it, consumers demand reusable products. But not just reusable – durable, too. We knew this over a decade ago and baked this into the MiiR brand vision, but with global climate change, not to mention fast fashion effects on both communities and the environment, market demand is increasing for bottles and cups that are:

In 2023, NielsenIQ found that 78% of US consumers say that a sustainable lifestyle is important to them, while another study showed 61% of consumers are concerned about the environmental impact on their health. Not to mention the versatility required for effective drinkware use in various outdoor activities like biking, camping, and sports that won’t shatter, dent, or simply weigh too much.

MiiR knows that stainless steel bottles do not meet the everywhere needs of many of our loyal customers, nor the everyday needs of an active lifestyle. 

The Everywhere Line: Why it’s different.

Both the Everywhere Straw Tumbler and Everywhere Bottle are made with Tritan Renew – a minimum 50% recycled plastic. While we tried up to 100% recycled plastic in product testing, the end result didn’t stand up to our quality requirements.. 

The higher % we went with recycled plastic = the poorer its quality and durability, contributing to its shorter lifespan.

The lifespan of an Everywhere  straw tumbler or bottle will last into double digit years in terms of quality and functionality, but also relevancy. We don’t design trendy, fast fashion silhouettes that won’t hold up a year from now.

MiiR’s goal is to increase our use of recycled material % over time. But not just for plastics; for all products, including rolling out 90% recycled stainless steel in the coming years.

Every product within the line is also Re:Claimed™ eligible, whereby MiiR takes back the product and ensures it reaches the right recycling facility for its next life. We are one of the few companies to do so.

The evolution into responsible plastic drinkware does not change the vision and purpose of MiiR. 

With design, generosity and responsibility at our core, it continues to be our mission to empower people for a better future.

Each year, we invest a minimum of 1% of annual revenue into trusted nonprofit organizations who work to uplift communities and benefit the environment. As of 2024, MiiR has given over $4.2 million, empowering over 175 organizations working across 70 countries.  

Every product launch adheres to sustainable manufacturing and thoughtful innovations. In 2023 we released the All Day Straw Cup – the first MiiR product launched with 90% recycled stainless steel. The Everywhere Line is no different! It represents our extension into the recycled material world and evolution of our products.
